Explore Happy Dinosaur's World
From Ferncliff Valley to The Westerly Shore, all places in the Happy DinoStory were inspired by real life locations, except the ones that are not!
Ferncliff Valley
Happy Dinosaur's first journey takes him through Ferncliff Valley. Ferncliff is based on the real life Hudson Valley in upstate New York. The valley is full of fruit orchards and is home to The Farm where Happy Dinosaur meets Glowing Ember and the Farm Dog. There is a tidal river and trees that change color with the seasons. As Happy Dinosaur makes the difficult decision to leave the valley, he finds out that his new home is only just south of Ferncliff and he never is truly far from home.
Westerly Shore
Happy Dinosaur washes up on Westerly Shore after being rescued by Bubba Mu in the Great Storm. Here he finds Social Dinosaur and the Lost Pirate Ship. There, they turn the old ship wood into a bungalow and discover a chest of musical instruments. Westerly Shore is based on the real life location of Nappatree Point in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
Seldom Seens
The Loyal Dinosaur and his friends journey into the mountains but get lost in The Great Storm. A flock of birds tell him that his friends have been taken to The Cave in the Seldom Seens, a mountain range where once traveled, you are seldom seen again. The Cave is rumored to be home to The Dragon.
Village
The Village is a market place to the west of Ferncliff Valley where animals, dinosaurs, and even humans trade handmade and homegrown goods. The Village is based on Boston street markets.
